The Slushpile Workshop
What lit mag editors really look for in submissions and how to stand out in the slush pile (without resorting to bribery or blackmail)
Through deep dives with different editors of popular lit mags, we’ll try to figure out what actually moves the needle with submissions other than bribery and blackmail.
Are you doing some dumbass thing you didn’t realize that’s getting you rejected? Maybe. Is there something you can do to stand out from the slush pile? Possibly. Could it all be a crapshoot of human shaped dice bumbling around a game board where everyone forgot the rules? We’ll find out.
