There are 16,000 writers subscribed to the Forever Workshop AND NOBODY IS TALKING TO EACH OTHER.

Well, some of you are — our first few Community Corner discussions have shown what a wealth of generous and thoughtful writers we have here. ❤️

But guys, we could harness these superpowers for even more good stuff!

Introducing: Feedback Friends Forever - our lowkey attempt at a “dating app” for writers.

(Except its not for dating, it’s for finding someone to trade feedback with, and it’s not an app... hmm. Whatever.)

Feedback Friends Forever is a monthly callout post for paid subscribers to throw your hat in the ring and find a writer buddy to exchange work with.

So go get yourself a friendly forever workshop beta reader!

First, build your line…

Pick a hashtag from each of the categories below that best describes the piece you’d like feedback on:

How often would you like to communicate with your feedback friend?

  • # Multiple times a week

  • # Weekly

  • # Bi-weekly

  • # Monthly

Genre:

  • # Poetry

  • # Fiction

  • # Nonfiction

  • # {insert other genre}

Length of piece:

  • # Short (Up to 1,000 words)

  • # Medium (Up to 10,000 words)

  • # Long (Up to 50,000 words)

  • # Super long (50,000+)

Finish it off with a couple key words about your piece, stuff like:

  • # Topic

  • # Theme

  • # Emotion

  • # Vibe

Once finished, your line should look like this: #Daily #Poetry #Short #Womanhood

Then, go to the comments…

Step 1: Drop your line directly in the comments, then scroll through and “like” any lines that you vibe with.

Step 2: When someone likes your line, go read theirs.

Step 3: Say hi, have a chat, and if you’re a match, exchange contact details and take it from there.

Step 4: Once you’ve found a feedback friend, delete your line so you don’t have to feel shitty telling others you already found a feedback friend.
